Invent Your World

Ever wonder why the light bulb was invented? What about the bicycle, the television, or your favorite roller coaster? Let’s think bigger, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Hubble telescope, the Great Pyramids. The origin of these amazing accomplishments stemmed from one thing- an idea.  In fact, everything that surrounds you at this moment, from crayons to computers, began as a single thought.

Even before Thomas Edison, someone surely had the fantastic dream of creating something that could help us see better in the night. I’m sure each of us has wondered what it would be like to command the skies like a bird, the seas like a fish, and outer space like a comet.

The point I’m trying to make is that we create our world. When we really want something and act on those wants it becomes reality.

Fun fact: Edwin Binney & C. Harold Smith invented the crayon in 1903.

What will you create today?

  1. Quite a lot of inventions started as an idea for something completely different, and in the process, sparked an idea for another thing entirely… So I just start where I am, and see where it takes me. Being open helps.
