Yes, it is always possible. For me, it takes that moment of thought to remember who I am and who I want to be.
I think it requires a purging of selfishness. There are those people who really make it difficult to be kind, but on further reflection, I realized it’s often because I wanted to win or look cooler instead of being kind. There’s a harsh quote that I’m very fond of, which is “resentment is like drinking poison hoping the person you resent will die.” Our being unkind to others hurts us more than them.
