“Mrs. Price was a small woman, wore her hair in a pig-tail. She also wore cheap jewelry and stale perfume. She said she know nothing about the father of this baby. Some mutual friends had introduced them, and the child was conceived after they had had too much to drink. She never saw her baby, and it was all like a bad dream.”

  1. Michael I am glad you have found your real relatives. You have put a lot of work researching.

  2. Hello Allyson. It is my adoptive parents that named me Michael, only by coincidence. I have always wondered that also about the description of my birthmother. How does one know if jewelry is expensive or inexpensive, and to this day I’m not sure what “stale” perfume means, but it sounds negative. One of the most exciting phrases to me was “she was a small woman and wore her hair in a pigtail.” That was my first glimpse of what she looked like.

  3. Mike, can I ask who named you? I see that your half brother is named Michael too. It is unfortunate that the interviewer placed such judgements on your mother and recorded it.
