Life Adventures, Why Mom Deserves A Diamond

1995 Why Mom Deserves a Diamond® winner

This photo was taken on May 13, 1995.  Six-grader Scott Kircher won a diamond for writing the most creative essay in the third annual Why Mom Deserves a Diamond® contest. He gave his winning prize to his mother, Valerie.  Today the contest is in honor of all moms.ImageWhether I stand on land or shore
I know I couldn’t love my mother more
Always caring, always there
In times that are good
In times of despair
Magical lands we like to explore
When she reads aloud
From classical lore
I thank you, Mom, at each day’s end
You really are my best friend

    1. It’s been a rule since the beginning of the contest that all winners have to read their words to their mom. We believe in the power of the spoken word! 🙂
