A Thousand Years More

Image

A Thousand Years

The curve of your smile
Makes me glow inside
The sound of your voice
Is my gentle guide

Dawn’s sun on your face
Gives hope for the day
And while I am gone
My heart’s not away

Walking on sand
Our clasped hands blend
I know you’re my sun,
My moon, and my friend

Beneath the gazebo
Was a magical day
Two hearts became one
Our love would not stray

Like a summer remembered
A thousand years passed
We knew our destiny
Our love would last

For every tomorrow
You give me new life
A new day is born
With you as my wife
